Lucerne – arguably the most beautiful city in Switzerland – is located in the heart of our country and is easily accessible via the A2 motorway (Basel – Gotthard – Milan). It is best to take the exit "Luzern Zentrum" if you are coming from the north or "Luzern Süd" if you are coming from the south. Once in the city, follow the signs for "Küssnacht / Verkehrshaus". Please note the information below regarding the parking situation.
Public transport in Switzerland is comprehensive, well organised and punctual. You can find all connections here: www.sbb.ch. There is also an app from the Swiss Federal Railways SBB. Right outside our front door is the "Dietschiberg" bus stop, which is served by bus lines 6 (direction Lucerne Büttenenhalde) and 8 (direction Lucerne Würzenbach). You can board the bus at the main station. And it's free: with your booking confirmation, you can use the entire Zone 10 network for free.
We do not have hotel parking options, but with a bit of luck you will find a parking space at the Kreuzbuchstrasse parking lot, just opposite Villa Maria. Our guests benefit from special conditions and can park their car there for CHF 15/day. If you would like to take advantage of this, please contact us.
As an overnight guest in Lucerne, you can use all buses and trains within zone 10 of the city network free of charge. In addition, you benefit from various discounts for cable cars, mountain railways, museums and excursions in the Lucerne-Lake Lucerne region. You will receive the Lucerne Guest Card by e-mail shortly before your arrival.
At Villa Maria we rely on modern technology combined with excellent service. Guests check in and out on their own, at any time, day or night. If you need our help, the team of the nearby Hotel Beau Séjour will be happy to assist you during regular reception hours from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. (CET).
