Lucerne Guide - True Holidays
In the online guide "true holidays" you will find the best ideas from Lucerne locals. It includes personal excursion and gourmet tips from the Beau Séjour team. Let yourself be inspired:
Partner Restaurant Keys
Enjoyment and conviviality in Lucerne's old town! This also applies to Restaurant Schlüssel in Lucerne's old town. The dishes are reduced, simple and purist - and yet, or perhaps precisely because of this, they will challenge and delight all your taste buds.
Partner restaurant magdi sommerbeiz
The magdi beiz team is temporarily relocating from Eisengasse to Beau Séjour on Lake Lucerne for the months of June to August. Around 70 seats are available every evening - in the historic ballroom, on the partially covered terrace and on the sun deck. Book now
Partner Restaurant Three Kings
The Drei Könige restaurant is the culinary meeting point of the trendy Bruchmatt quarter. Despite the pleasantly small menu, it is always difficult to choose between all the delicacies. If you can't decide, treat yourself to "La Grande Bouffe" - this way you can enjoy various items on the menu in small portions. Tip: Don't choose the wine yourself, but let host Stefan Kaufmann uncork something from his carefully curated wine cellar.
Mobile air conditioners
All our hotel rooms and suites have a mobile air conditioning unit to regulate the room temperature independently during the summer months. Adjustments can be made conveniently by remote control and directly on the device.
Fire protection and safety
Please pay attention to the regulations and evacuation routes posted on the room door. Take time to read them carefully. There are also fire extinguishers on all floors.
Non-smoking room
Smoking is not permitted in the rooms and all other premises of Villa Maria. Please use the ashtray in front of the hotel entrance or in the garden for smoking.
Swiss emergency numbers
Police 117
Fire brigade 118
Ambulance 144
Safe and adapter
All rooms are equipped with safes. If this is not enough for your valuables, you can contact the Beau Séjour team and use their hotel safe.
Each room has a plug adapter with various international connections. So you should be able to tap into our power grid without any problems.
Lucerne Guest Card
On the day of your arrival you received the Lucerne guest card by e-mail. With this card you can travel free of charge on all buses and trains within zone 10 of the city network. The bus stop "Dietschiberg" is located directly in front of our house and is served by bus lines 6 and 8.
With the guest card you also benefit from various discounts for cable cars, mountain railways, museums and excursions in the Lucerne-Lake Lucerne region. You can also use the "Free WiFi - LUZERN.COM" hotspot throughout the city.
Here you can find out everything about the Lucerne Guest Card
Bicycle hire
At the Hotel Beau Séjour there are two bicycles that you can borrow at any time. Ask at the reception for the keys and possible tours, the team will be happy to help you.
If the two bikes are already on the way, you can rent a bike via the automatic bike rental system nextbike.
Swimming, bath towels and beach chairs
A few metres away from the Villa Maria is the Carl-Spitteler-Quai, including a meadow and access to the lake. Here you can swim, tan and chill from morning to night in summer. If you need a deckchair, you will find one either in the basement of the Villa Maria or at our service point in the Hotel Beau Séjour (the latter is directly opposite the meadow!). We can also provide you with bath towels on request.

Tickets, timetables and public transport
Public transport is generally as reliable as our Swiss clockwork.
The Swiss Federal Railways SBB app is super handy and you can buy pretty much all public transport tickets through it. If you prefer to buy your ticket at a ticket machine or counter, that is of course also possible.
To find out when and how you will get to your destination, it is best to use the app or the website of the Swiss Federal Railways SBB. There you will find clear timetables with all the means of transport you need to get from A to B.
If you need assistance, no problem - the team at Hotel Beau Séjour will be happy to help and advise you.
